Artificial intelligence 56

Artificial intelligence, while still being a niche technology, has increased a great deal in terms of importance over the last few years; at a minimum, an impressive amount of money has poured into artificial intelligence research. More importantly though, recent research has begun to show that artificial intelligence is indeed possible, both for computer-enabled devices which are able to act and respond autonomously to their owners' actions and in autonomous vehicles, which are capable of following their commands in real time.

The recent development of computer-aided robots is particularly noteworthy, for there is increasing evidence that these robots can be used to create highly intelligent and capable machines which can potentially perform tasks which were previously thought to be impossible for the human brain alone.
