Cryptography 23

What is cryptography in security? It is, in every sense, something about breaking someone's encryption on their servers. That's how it works with the cloud, right? The cloud encrypts content at rest and that's where it gets weird. They're encrypting data at rest, not on the go. Why are the rest of us being served, what's in that encryption? You're getting away from the fact that the problem in most situations is data. They're sending content and it's encrypted as it comes in and then when the data leaves, the encryption is scrambled, it's scrambled from different origin and so on. So it's a much wider problem than I would have expected and certainly a wider problem in the cloud than with traditional servers.
