Happiness 18

What is happiness? The joy of the world; the joy of the soul. When man sees men and things in truth, he perceives, and desires not his own. Now joy is a natural desire. But joy in truth comes when the soul is in it. This is the joy of one who finds that the earth is not round and the sun is not a man, or when he sees through the windows of a house all the marvels that are seen. When we see these we want to see more. Where there is joy, there must also be truth. There shall be no evil, no evil shall be known. We shall be glad. I wish that we too could be glad and look upon men and things in truth. There shall be no need of reason, no need of learning. Where we are happy, there we shall have truth. There shall be no evil, no evil shall be known. Men will see the truth, for there must be truth. All we need is to want and not know it and know it.
