What is happiness?

The answer is that there are good things in life like love, food, art, friends and family, and there are bad things like loneliness, sickness, hate, jealousy, loneliness, failure, poverty, boredom, fear and greed. But these are all only bad things if we do not take an active role in stopping them. So what does that mean?

In this article I want to teach you how to be the part of the solution. This is what I believe is the key to happiness, because this is the only way happiness can exist – by acting as its source, not as its effects. It is the simple thing, and we all do it but rarely do it.

Act as an actor, for your actions have real consequences. They are not just a way to escape suffering, but actually a way to achieve it. They are a way to do more rather than less, and to avoid that which we know cannot be done, in order to achieve something better yet that we may not have known ourselves.
