Happiness 25

What is happiness?

But all of the efforts to find the key to happiness have been futile and the most common answers (and for many, the only answers) are ego-boosting and superficial. As a result, almost no one ever goes for a serious look at how we measure happiness.

If an experience matters much for us, we feel it in our bodies as we make decisions. In our minds, we feel it in our heads. We make decisions based on the external data.

Our bodies are designed to measure happiness. We feel happy when we feel good: our bodies, in other words. But we don't consciously know that our bodies are trying to tell us what to feel.
